I have just released a new version of our main product to a select few customers, and I've already received a bug report with the following error:

Error on data writing to the connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. Socket Error Code: 10054($2746).

I use SDAC in prDirect mode.  The application was up and running for a little while before this error so it was/is able to communicate with the server.

This was using my app on the same PC as SQL Server is running.

Does anyone have suggestions on what I should be checking, or, if this is an expected situation, what the best practice is to handle it?
