It looks like currently the only way to create a login using MFA in the connection managers is to create an application account in Azure AD (now EntraID) and use the ApplicationID in the connection manager. There does not appear to be an ability use a regular Azure AD account with MFA otherwise as the ApplicationID is required.  This is not compatible with our ORG as they are not interested in creating an Application type user just to run these tools. We use our AAD accounts normally to login to SQL from SSMS just fine. Can this feature be added? Right now the only work around is the create SQL accounts directly on the Azure database which our security is not generally a fan of.
