Hi there
I have now updated to the latest version of dbForge Studio for SQL Server. And in hindsight, that was a big mistake.
- The time it takes for the program to start has increased by a factor of ten
- Intellisense no longer works automatically - IntelliSense must be reloaded each time I create a new SQL-Query or open a new database via Edit --> Code Completion --> Refresh Suggestions (worked without any problems in the previous version!)
- Still no adequate support for Azure SQL databases
- Administration of SQL servers and databases is still very poor (user administration, schemas, etc.). These are merely wrappers around T-SQL scripts...
dbForge is always very slow when it comes to new versions. This is generally not a bad thing if the quality of the released software is right. In this case, however, it is a big step backwards. If I were evaluating dbForge Studio for SQL today as a potential new customer, I would definitely not buy it. Too slow, too many manual steps, too little support for current technologies.
Am I the only one who feels this way?
