If you've purchased the Standard, Professional, or Enterprise edition of a dbForge product, but the installer didn't install the expected edition, it’s important to understand that the downloaded installation file (.exe) does not determine the product edition. The edition is determined based on the license key you entered. Here are two possible scenarios:
1. Using a Trial Version
The trial version always installs the Enterprise edition, which offers maximum functionality. However, if the trial period has expired, the product will prompt you to activate a license or switch to the Express edition (free but with limited features). If you've already selected the Express edition, you must activate the product to change it. If you need assistance, please contact the sales department via our Contact Form. 2. Using a License and Activation Key
If the wrong edition was activated after installing dbForge and entering your key, please check the following:
- Ensure the required license is available in your personal account.
- Confirm that the activation key matches the edition and license you purchased.
- If needed, deactivate the current license (Help → Deactivate), restart the product, and reactivate it.
