[Devart][ODBC][Quickbooks Desktop] Could not start Quickbooks
I am attempting to evaluate the Quickbooks Desktop ODBC
Driver. When I set up the ODBC data source, link it to the company file and
then click "Test Connection" I get the following error message:
"[Devart][ODBC][Quickbooks Desktop] Could not start Quickbooks".
To successfully connect and retrieve data from QuickBooks
Desktop (QBD), you need to do the following:
1. The ODBC driver must be installed on the same computer
where QuickBooks Desktop is located.
2. **Important!** QuickBooks Desktop must be running and
working with the Company file specified in the driver connection settings.
3. The company file must be located on the same computer
where QuickBooks Desktop and the ODBC driver are installed.
4. In the driver settings, the path to the company file must
point to a local folder, not a network folder.
